Dr Mary Ellwood (M.B., B.S, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P)
Women’s Health, Family Medicine
Dr Mary Ellwood has worked in General Practice since 1974 and joined Ascot Family Practice in 1992. She also worked at Family Planning Qld for 28 years - most of that time as an instructing doctor. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and firmly believes in the importance of preventative health care. Mary has a special interest in women’s health especially during the peri menopausal years.

Dr Madelon Amies (MB., BS)
All areas of General Practice
Dr Madelon Amies grew up in Maryborough before moving to Brisbane to complete her university studies. She graduated MBBS with honours from the University of Queensland in 2012 and has worked in several hospitals throughout south-east Queensland prior to starting in General practice in 2015. DR Amies enjoys caring for patients of all ages. Her interests include chronic disease management, preventative healthcare and patient education.

Dr Greg Williams (M.B., B.S., FRACGP)
All areas of General Practice
Dr Williams was raised in the New England Tablelands and finished his high school education in Brisbane. He graduated MBBS from UQ St Lucia in 1992 and completed his FRACGP training and exams in 1998. He has worked extensively in general practice in Australia and the UK and has recently returned from Buckinghamshire in England with his young family. He was a GP partner in the same practice there for over 10 years. His special interests include palliative care, mental health, musculoskeletal medicine and evidence-based medicine. He is looking forward to a long term position at Ascot Family Practice.

Dr Anjana De Almeida (MBChB, Dip Paeds, FRACGP).
All areas of General Practice
Dr Anjana De Almeida completed her medical degree in 2001 at the University of Otago (NZ). Her academic and clinical excellence is evident from the number of awards she received in her final year at medical school, including awards for obstetrics and gynaecology, General Practice, Clinical Medicine and Overall Excellence in the clinical years.
Anjana worked in several tertiary hospitals and then went on to complete a Diploma of Paediatrics at the University of Auckland before embarking on a career in General Practice. She has over 10 years' experience working as a GP. She has a wide range of experience in all aspects of a General Practice with special interest in Paediatrics care from new-born to adolescents, gynaecology, family planning and contraception, preventative health and screening, mental health, chronic disease and complex medical issues.
​Anjana enjoys all aspects of general Practice. She loves the continuity of care and the opportunity to make a real difference in primary care. she feels that being a GP is a true privilege. Working Mondays, Wednesdays and fridays.

Dr Peter Herbert (Monday - Friday)
MB, ChB, DipObst, DipAvMed, DipTravMed, DipOccHealth, FRACGP
Family Medicine, Travel Medicine, Occupational Medicine
Following extensive experience in the hospital system and military, Dr Peter Herbert has worked in general practice for the past 20 years. He has special interests in occupational and aviation medicine, commercial and recreational diving medicine, travel medicine as well as alll aspects of family medicine. Clinical medical experience includes extensive hospital-level experience in many different fields: especially accident/emergency , obstetrics, paediatrics, pathology and psychiatry. Peter has extensive experience in various other medical applications: military (senior officer), rural/remote/wilderness medical roles, sports medicine (athletics, boxing, rugby league/union, ski-racing, swimming). He is part of the local community with 6 children attending various primary and high schools
